Location

This position will be based on one of our Power projects but will onboard in Lenexa, KS.  

Responsibilities

  • Update of the ASME Quality Manual and applicable implementing procedures as required by Code revisions, lessons learned, corporate initiatives, or changes in the work practices in the field. 
  • Provide support for the Project Welding Engineers, auditing the Projects on a regular basis to ensure that the Welding Procedure Specifications, Welder Performance Qualifications, Welder Continuity program, and other welding initiatives comply with the TICP QMS, ASME Code, and TICP Standard Quality Procedures.
  • Manage the ASME and National Board certification efforts, including coordinating with Authorized Nuclear Inspectors and Supervisors for certification/recertification efforts.  
  • Expansion of the current ASME Certificates to include design and fabrication activities.
  • Provide training on the ASME Quality Manual and Project Quality Plan(s) for project personnel.   
  • Oversee ASME Code compliance for work which falls under the ASME Quality Control Manual, including reviewing newly issued ASME Code Cases that may affect TIC Power Projects.   
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Authorized Inspection agency and jurisdictional authorities.  Assist in acquiring authorized inspection services for the Projects.
  • Audit projects constructing ASME Code work, regularly, ensuring that all aspects of the TICP ASME Quality Program are properly implemented.
  • Ensure that all project Quality Records (including ASME paperwork) are completed and submitted properly, through regular audits and assessments.
  • Research and answer questions of a technical nature. Assist in the interpretation of construction codes and standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel and relocate as needed 
  • Self-starter with advanced organizational, managerial, and leadership skills.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience doing Quality Assurance.
