Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team and support the design, planning, and execution of power plant construction projects. This role involves coordinating engineering activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in power generation systems and a proven ability to manage complex construction projects.
District Overview
TIC Power (TICP) is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation that provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a non-union craft force. Strength in estimating and pre-project planning. Constructing cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal and waste-to-energy generation and resource facilities. TIC Power builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America.

Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
Technical Oversight
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Construction Support
Monitor on-site activities to ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
Resolve technical issues during construction and provide engineering solutions.
Stakeholder Communication
Prepare progress reports and present updates to project managers and clients.
Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Risk & Quality Management
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in engineering roles within power plant or industrial construction projects.
Familiarity with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) processes.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of power generation systems and construction methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
