Position Overview

TIC Denver seeking a Construction Scheduler to join to join our Semi-Conductor project in Boise, ID. We are looking for the ideal candidate to perform planning and scheduling activities on industrial projects. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to directly impact the scheduling outcome, from estimate through project completions, over a broad range of projects. By analyzing, monitoring, and maintaining the projects’ progress, you’ll prepare and analyze reports, develop alternative solutions, and be a key team member in driving successful project completion. #LI-WJ1

District Overview

TIC is a Kiewit Subsidiary that provides direct-hire construction services for industrial projects. TIC Denver has projects in Power, Industrial Manufacturing, Oil Gas Chemical, and Mining across the United States. Its projects range from small capital work up to major EPC projects. We are looking for people committed to the construction industry in an “open-shop” environment.  

Location

This position is located at a project in Boise, ID. Following this project you will be required to "go where the work is". 

Responsibilities

  • Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the project.
  • Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, available manpower, and resources.
  • Provide scheduling analysis for delays and impacts to identify and mitigate project risk.
  • Manage internal controls including implementing process controls, measuring project performance, reporting on project status, and ensuring the integrity and validity of internally and externally disseminated information.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critic path logic networks.
  • Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
  • May interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and give statistical reports as needed.
     

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 - 5+ years of experience working in construction scheduling.
  • Primavera (P6) scheduling experience required. 
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (technical training and related experience may be considered in lieu of).
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Computer proficient and the ability to adapt to new innovations and processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated work ethic.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
