Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Drone Pilot to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drone operations and LiDAR data collection, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

•    Perform drone flights for various applications such as asset inspections, environmental monitoring, and aerial surveys.
•    Assist in planning and executing aerial surveys, including flight path planning and scheduling based on survey specifications.
•    Handle data acquisition, including pre-flight planning, risk assessments, and post-flight data quality checks.
•    Process and interpret LiDAR data using specialized software to generate accurate maps and models.
•    Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with FAA regulations and company safety protocols.
•    Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of drone equipment and LiDAR sensors.
•    Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, GIS specialists, and other team members to ensure project goals are met.

Qualifications

•    1-3 years of experience in drone operations, LiDAR data collection, and aerial surveying.
•    Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
•    FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is required.
•    Proficiency in LiDAR data processing software (e.g., TerraScan, Global Mapper), strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
•    Basic experience with survey equipment and techniques, including GPS and total stations.
•    Ability to travel to various field locations and work in different environmental conditions.
Preferred Attributes:
•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
•    Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
•    Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the rapidly evolving field of LiDAR and drone operations.
