Position Overview
The Testing and Commissioning Managers’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervise 3rd party tester. Manage and coordinate testing and commissioning activities. Provide field installation support. Perform testing and troubleshooting as required. Keep a log of open items/punch list. Maintain testing and commissioning schedule as needed. Attend meeting with projects, consultants, designers, and authorities as needed. Review design and provide feedback to engineers. Review/develop field test procedures. Perform training. Provide safety briefings before testing and commissioning activities. Ensure that testing and commissioning activities are being performed to meet company quality standards.

Location
This person will be based out of our Grapevine, TX (the DFW area) office and will be required to travel to project sites as needed located in Los Angles, Phoenix, Seattle, D.C, and/or Kansas City.
Responsibilities
- Understand project systems and objectives as they relate to project deliverables.
- Review test plans and test procedures.
- Review and become familiar with test schedule and assist with test schedule coordination.
- Perform review of rail transit electrical, train control, communications, and traction power systems drawings in preparation for start-up and test activities.
- Assist with coordination and support requirements for test activities.
- Work on the project site and or contractor production sites as needed to carry out audit, review, assist with, and lead testing.
- Review third party test reports and OEM field test reports.
- Supervise and lead functional testing of integrated transit electrical, train control, communications, and traction electrification systems.
- Effectively interface with Test and Commissioning Manager, System Test Leads, Engineering, Construction, Subcontractor, third-party testing personnel, and clients to accomplish test objectives in accordance with schedule.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction team.
- Review and manage interfacing with clients for obtaining track access and protection for work on existing systems.
- Support Test and Commissioning Manager with test issue tracking and reconciliation.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years related experience in the areas of rail electrical, train control, communications, and/or traction power systems.
- Testing commissioning experience highly preferred.
- NETA Level 1 certification preferred.
- Ability to travel and/or relocate on an as-needed basis to project sites located in Los Angles, Phoenix, Seattle, D.C, and/or Kansas City.
- Knowledge and familiarity with occupational safety and ability to complete required company and client rail transit project specific safety requirements.
- Knowledge and familiarity with application, operation, calibration status, and use of basic and advanced test equipment.
- Working knowledge of computers and experience with the use of MS Office Suite.
- Must be able to demonstrate safe electrical troubleshooting skills.

- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Prepared to attend meetings with customers and owners/general contractors.
- Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills.
