The Military and MEC

Current and former military members thrive in our values-driven culture, and our goal is to make their transition into the civilian workforce rewarding. We also respect and support their call to duty before that transition. Mass. Electric offers full benefits the entire time service members are on military leave, and pays the military/civilian salary differential during deployments. It’s our way of saying, “Thank you.”

Our Support

Our organization partners with various military organizations to support the development of our own employees and all veterans and active service members within our communities. We’re also a proud contributor to many charities supporting active and retired military and their families, including:

  • Helmets to Hardhats, connecting military with civilian career opportunities in construction
  • At Ease USA, supporting active military, veterans and their families and loved ones with confidential, research-supported, cost-effective treatment for post-traumatic stress (PTSD) and related disorders

  • Semper Gratus, Inc., helping to reunite veterans that who served together, while providing unique experiences in an atmosphere of camaraderie and in support of their ongoing needs
  • Wounded Warrior Project, providing free programs and services focused on the physical, mental, and long-term financial well-being of this generation of injured veterans, their families and caregivers
