Position Overview
The District Payroll Lead provides high-quality support and exceptional customer service across all areas of the organization and handles a high volume of time and payroll-related requests. Tasks include pre and post-payroll verifications, submitting payroll adjustments, salary additions, labor cost reallocations, setting up overtime rules, and responding to general payroll and time-related inquiries. This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that offers opportunities to learn and continuously grow in all facets of Ganotec’s core operations.

Ganotec has the ability to offer all major disciplines including civil works, steel framing construction, mechanical equipment installation, piping and electrical, instrumentation and control work. Location
This position is located at our Oakville, ON office.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of District Support Specialists: This will include training, mentoring, performing quality control, and providing guidance with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for time and payroll issues. This includes pre-payroll and post-payroll activities, off-cycles, pay additions, overtime rules, and general payroll and time inquiries.
- Monitor team workloads and assist and backup as necessary and support the team in responding to internal customer questions and concerns.
- Develop strong relationships with field personnel and provide excellent time and payroll support.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues.
- Understand, communicate, and monitor internal control processes and procedures
- Perform other job-related tasks as needed or assigned: Flexibility to handle additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Three (3) years of professional business experience in a similar role
- College Degree in business or related field preferred
- Bilingual (French / English) is an asset
- Excellent organization and time management skills: Ability to develop specific goals for the team and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish daily work and projects.
- Excellent customer service and collaboration skills: Ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization and develop highly effective teams and alliances.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills:
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Previous SAP experience preferred: Or similar ERP systems. #LI-IS1
