Position Overview

As an Office Manager, you will support the business on critical tasks and provide administrative support in various capacities. You will be responsible for developing internal and external communications, streamlining administrative procedures, office staff supervision, and task delegation. This candidate must be a proactive thinker and comfortable communicating with the executive team. Must be able to work quickly and multi-task. 

District Overview

Ganotec is a full service, heavy industrial contractor serving the industrial sector across Canada. Ganotec typically self performs all major disciplines including, civil, structural steel erection, heavy mechanical equipment installation, process piping and electrical / instrumentation and controls. We conduct our business through a variety of commercial contract styles including full turnkey, EPC, design build, T&M and conventional discipline packages. We have always been a strong proponent of “partnering”, working in collaboration with owners, major equipment suppliers and engineers at the early stages of the project development phase to allow for a more cost-effective execution strategy for the project. This position is based in Pointe-aux-Trembles, QC.


Provide support to the Business Manager and entire administrative team. Support will include the following tasks:

  • Provide administrative support and assist with back-up support to the team
  • Partner with HR to maintain office policies as necessary
  • Organize office operations and procedure
  • Supervise administrative team and allocate tasks and assignments
  • Assign and monitor clerical and administrative responsibilities and tasks among office staff
  • Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events and teambuilding activities
  • Write and distribute internal communications (e.g. memos)
  • Manage Ganotec's website content and social media profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Participate in special projects such as creating reports and PowerPoint presentations 
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned


  • Must have prior experience managing an office
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 
  • High School Diploma/GED, Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Effective communication in French and English (both oral and written) 
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing a team is an asset 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passion for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Must be fluent in French, and able to communicate in English
