APERÇU DE LA POSITION

Ganotec is looking for a quality inspector with heavy mechanical experience to take charge of the activities related to the quality control of projects on construction sites.

LIEU DU POSTE

This position is for our Little Long Project, north of Kapuskasing in northern Ontario.  It is a rotation assignment, on remote site for a period of days and then travel back to your home base for days off.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Tasks include, but are not limited to: • Develop and implement the project quality plan; • Write, set up and follow up on inspection and test plans (PIE); • Organize and maintain a classification system for documents and quality records; • Ensure the follow-up and closure of non-conformities; • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions if necessary; • Maintain the link with the various project stakeholders (managers, supervisors, planners and engineers) for the development, implementation and maintenance of the quality system; • Coordinate inspection and testing activities with affected parties; • Check the conformity of materials received on site; • Carry out inspections and compile the checklists related to the various construction activities; • Ensure the quality control of suppliers and subcontractors; • Ensure and maintain contact with the customer's QA / QC managers; • Carry out quality tours with the client; • Gather the documents and prepare the records (history docket) to be given to the client.

Qualifications

• Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control in the construction industry; • Have knowledge in Quality Assurance and Control (ISO) systems; • Have knowledge of ASME, CSA and API standards; • Possess knowledge of welding and non-destructive testing procedures; • Good attitude for teamwork; • Bilingual, French-English, an asset; • Knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel); • Available to travel and work on sites in Canada.

  • Absent an approved exemption, due to federal, state, local, provincial and/or client-requirements, this position may require an individual to be fully vaccinated by a Health Canada-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing upon hire and as a condition of continued employment.
