Position Overview
This role will support our construction staff for 6-12 months out of Cherne’s field project office in Providence, RI. As a project Administrative Assistant you will be supporting key stakeholders on one of Kiewit's construction projects in Providence, RI with various administrative/office duties. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of success in supporting an Executive and/or has worked as an Administrative Assistant supporting an office environment.

District Overview
Cherne Contracting is one of Kiewit’s oldest districts. Founded in 1916. Cherne is a valuable part of Kiewit and is well known for the safety and quality of execution in amazing projects within the oil, gas and chemical sectors. Location
This position will be based out of our Field Project location in Providence, RI.
Responsibilities
• Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate area or person
• Answer inbound calls on a multiline phone system
• Coordinate and arrange meetings including agenda preparation, meeting invitations, reserving and preparing facilities and resources including virtual conferencing tools
• Coordinate conference room schedules through Outlook calendar
• Sort and distribute incoming mail including office deliveries, and address envelopes or packages and prepare courier packages
• Order and maintain office supplies, arrange for equipment maintenance as needed
• Maintain contact list and calendars in Outlook.
• Maintain various logs, reports and templates
• Help staff with booking travel, schedule coordination, and expenses
• Assist the project teams with accounts payable and other ad-hoc projects
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Prior administrative support experience required
• A minimum two years’ experience as an Adminstrative Assistant
• Knowledge of SAP preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Solid skills with peripheral technology such as printers, digital cameras, scanners and A/V equipment
• Previous track record of successfully meeting deadlines and project expectations
• Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, as needed
• Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of important, sensitive information and materials
• Enthusiastic team player with an interest in helping the team stay connected and working effectively together
