Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking a Document Controls Manager to support our heavy industrial district, that will be responsible for managing and organizing all construction-related documentation projects. This individual will work closely with the project team to ensure that all project-related documents are accurate, complete, and up-to-date. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the document management system, ensuring all documents are properly labeled and tracked, and coordinating document control processes across various departments.

Location

This position will be located on site in Mount Pleasant, WI. Other supporting locations may be Bloomington, MN or Lenexa, KS. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a document control system that meets the needs of the project.
  • Ensure all project-related documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. 
  • Develop and maintain document control procedures and processes. 
  • Ensure all documents are properly labeled and tracked.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper document control coordination. 
  • Manage and maintain a centralized document repository. 
  • Maintain a log of all project-related documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of documents to all necessary parties. 
  • Communicate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with document control procedures and processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience within construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in document control, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction terminology and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
