Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations & Communications Coordinator to support internal operations, communications, and employee engagement across the district. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth administrative processes and effective internal communication. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and distribute internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and Town Hall invitations.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for employee programs and events—coordinate travel, schedule meetings, and manage catering and event details.
  • Maintain and update internal SharePoint sites to enhance collaboration and ensure easy access to resources.
  • Create and manage Microsoft Teams channels, including the district’s Leadership Teams Channel, to support communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain and update documentation such as knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and other district-related materials.
  • Track and organize employee-related documents, including union agreements and Notices of Assignment (NOAs).
  • Collaborate regularly with staff and district leadership on content development and strategic implementation.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative, communications, or operations support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with digital collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Base Compensation: $89,000/yr - $93,000/yr

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
