We are adding a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to our team in Missouri to support the entire project life cycle, from RFP to contract closeout. In this role, you will be involved initial design for the proposal, negotiation, change order management, design, install, delivery and services for your projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Our Project Managers are liaisons to internal departments and external customers and are responsible for managing all administrative and technical requirements for assigned projects. Continental Fire Sprinkler Company, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, is a turnkey fire protection contractor that has been operating since 1971. We offer comprehensive fire protection services across the United States including consultation, design, installation, maintenance, testing and inspections. Responsibilities
- Manage Fire Sprinkler projects from cradle to grave.
- Review commercial construction drawings and schedules, contracts, specifications and safety requirements and ensure projects meets required standards and client contract. Administer contract and all subsequent addenda, supplemental information, schedules, and change requests.
- Key POC with the client, coordinate design with fire protection designers, interface with subcontractors in the field, provide troubleshooting in the field for installation and participate in site management meetings, proactively coordinating all phases of the project.
- Develop initial design layout for the project. Review as-built drawings for in-house archives and client files.
- Direct planning for contract installation, including personnel requirements, job progress schedule, schedule of materials, fabrication, and equipment to job site.
- Monitor job costs, expenses, and quality control of all project activities to ensure completion within contractual time & budget constraints.
- Perform method analysis reviews to ensure the design and installation is the most efficient, and safe and provide feedback to the job team.
- Travel to construction jobsites to perform walkdowns, attend jobsite meetings, and track productivity in the field.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to others on the team.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in fire sprinkler systems with construction/installation experience, working as a Project Manager performing similar responsibilities as outlined above
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, and fire protection operations.
- Working knowledge of NFPA, IBC, and IFC codes
- Superior organizational and time management skills, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Team player with ability to coordinate efforts among other project managers, and other departments
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and Prolog or equivalent).
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed to support your projects.
