District Overview

Continental Fire Sprinkler Company, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, is a turnkey fire protection contractor that has been operating since 1971. We offer comprehensive fire protection services across the United States including consultation, design, installation, maintenance, testing and inspections. With our talented team of people and extensive resources, we can successfully handle all aspects of fire protection.

Location

This position is based out of our Omaha, NE office.

Responsibilities

Customer service by greeting and routing any walk-in traffic 

Customer service by answering and routing phone calls to the appropriate individuals or departments 

Receiving, distributing and sending outgoing mail on a daily basis 

Receiving, distributing and sending out packages via USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc. on a daily basis 

Routing messages through the electronic fax system to the appropriate individuals or departments 

Updating and maintaining our shared “outboard” to keep current status, where possible, of our in house staff and scheduled meetings in our conference rooms.   

Potential for support to our preconstruction/estimating team through setting up project files for our pursuits 

Potential for support to our Service Department by creating invoices in our ERP software 

Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and above 

Two to three (2 to 3) years of administrative experience, preferably in the construction industry, but not required 

Ability to multi-task and perform detail-oriented work 

Ability to work Monday – Friday, 730 a.m. to 430 p.m. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs as well as web-based applications, Bluebeam, Adobe products. 

Ability to work independently: Take directive on a project and then proceed to completion, using a high level of initiative and independent action. 

Ability to work as a part of a team: Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with employees in all departments and be proactive in solving project issues. 

Ability to display and maintain a positive attitude in a customer-focused environment. Must possess strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize daily responsibilities. 

Must be very detail oriented, with ability to coordinate, organize, and follow up on various projects simultaneously and without direct instruction. 

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
