Position Overview

The Sr. Product Portfolio Manager is responsible for leading a team of Product Managers as well as driving the strategy and overall success of a portfolio of products.  Product Portfolio Managers are the voice of the customer within the Kiewit Technology Group ensuring that each product they are responsible for has a defined vision, roadmap and is managed throughout its entire lifecycle.  They work to ensure that there is a solid business justification for all product decisions and that value, quality and customer experience are always at front of mind.

Location

This position is located at 7700 Eastport Parkway, LaVista. Work schedule is onsite Monday - Thursday with flexible Friday's.

Responsibilities

•Provide leadership over an entire portfolio of product(s) or service(s), representing the voice of the customer during the entire product development lifecycle.
•Lead a team of Product Managers and Delivery Teams to deliver third-party and customized IT products on time, within budget, and in accordance with specified levels of quality. 
•Develop and implement team strategies and processes to ensure efficient product delivery. 
•Drive product roadmaps and ensure alignment to the company and business objectives based upon mutually agreed upon ROI. 
•Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including discovery, planning, build, testing, deployment, and decommissioning. 
•Oversee the total cost of ownership for the products and services within the portfolio, including options for cost/licensing models with third-party products. 
•Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to maximize product performance. 
•Communicate product vision and strategy to internal stakeholders and external partners. 
•Understand the industry, trends in the industry, and our technology solution’s position in the industry and market.
•Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to secure and protect sensitive data and compliance with relevant regulations. 
•Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers. 
•Ensure Team members understand their roles / responsibilities and how they will be measured.
•Encourage and support employee career growth and opportunities, including areas of training and job opportunities.
•Lead and motivate direct reports to ensure consistent service and seamless execution throughout the organization. Conduct critical conversations as needed and hold team members accountable. 
•Responsible for project and team financials, ensure value received for costs incurred.
•Provide service level direction and communications, including a clear and compelling vision for the future and KPI’s/Metrics to measure success. 
•Ensure all resource and domain-related issues and escalations are addressed with the appropriate sense of urgency.
•Drive improvement and change of process and procedures within team based on fundamental knowledge of service area.
•Conduit for the dissemination of company and department related information to direct reports and how it will impact the team and/or business. Ensure appropriate and timely communication of work progress to all levels of the organization.    

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. 
•10+ years’ experience in an Information Technology or Product Manager role. 
•5+ years’ experience directly managing others.
•Demonstrated success at defining business needs, conducting vendor analysis, and launching successful products.
•Demonstrated experience in team leadership, including hiring, developing, and mentoring team members. 
•Strong technical background, with knowledge of software development methodologies and tools. 
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
•Demonstrated ability to negotiate and have critical conversations with customers and stakeholders regarding business value and customer experience.
•Ability to motivate and coach individuals to develop their skills enabling them to perform at their best and contribute to the success of the team.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present information both to technical and non-technical customers/stakeholders, in appropriate media and form.
•Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high quality standards.
•Ability to recognize, assess, and mitigate risks to committed deliverables and timelines.
•Able to clearly communicate progress and risk to all levels of leadership.
•Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.
•Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
•Excellent organization and time-management skills.

Bonus Points:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Human Capital discipline.
•Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technology setting.
•Previous HR or HR IT experience. 
•Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or Product Manager Certifications.
•Experience with SAP ECC/S4, SAP SuccessFactors, Employee Central, Workday, or Oracle ERP platforms.
