Position Overview

Kiewit Industrial is seeking a senior scheduling manager to run a 20+ person organization supporting a variety of markets ranging from Water Treatment to Paper Products, to Manufacturing and others.   This individual must plan, develop, coordinate, train, support, and manage all scheduling functions.  The Senior Scheduling Manager is a fully qualified professional with solid experience, technical expertise, and the ability to lead a team towards a common objective.  Assignments will require proficiency in using various Project Controls software such as Excel, Primavera, and other Company-specific software.

Our rapidly growing Industrial Engineering team, which includes process, mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, architectural, geotechnical, and civil disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities.

This position is based in Lone Tree, CO 80124.

Responsibilities

•    Oversee critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) for construction projects.
•    Master Schedule baseline development.
•    Track project deliverables & monitor physical percent complete (Quantity tracking)
•    Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems. May interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give statistical reports.
•    Analyzes, evaluates and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule.
•    Assesses the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages. Reports status of schedule to the appropriate project and Company management as well to the client.
•    Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships. Develops and maintains critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information. Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
•    Overall accountability for the performance of the scheduling department.
•    Update weekly/monthly tasks as necessary to reflect scheduler expectations.
•    Ensure satisfactory schedule quality scores as measured by company metrics.
•    Maintain scheduling standards.
•    Coordinate the scheduling training syllabus.
•    Staff schedulers to projects.
•    Mentor schedulers and track professional development through the use of Right Time Feedback, Kiewit University course nominations, and coordination of follow-on job assignments.

Qualifications

•    A BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or technical training and related experience.  
•    Minimum of 10 years of construction scheduling experience.  Experience should include 3 years of proven leadership experience directing scheduling functions. 
•    Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required. 
•    Must have a working knowledge of standard cost control methods utilized in the execution of various types of projects (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, time and Material, Maintenance).
•    Must be able to work with project supervision and customer representatives in managing all aspects of project controls with a focus on scheduling/planning functions.  
•    Must understand the technical expectations of Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and Business/Office Managers. 
•    Travel to project sites, meetings, extended business trips, and training as required.
•    Provide direction and vision to a diverse team to meet business goals.
•    Have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
•    Effectively supervise assigned personnel.
•    Have a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
•    Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to meet intense deadlines, goals, and objectives.
•    Be able to prioritize competing demands from upper management.
•    Be proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
•    Be proficient in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Project).
•    Meet the requirements of eligibility to work on Federal Projects.
•    Scheduling delay and/or contract admin expertise, helpful but not required.

Base Compensation: $137,320 - $210,778

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
