Position Overview

As a Document Controls Coordinator will support and assist Kiewit Engineers with the management of engineering supplier documents in accordance with government/company regulations for various design projects.

  • Environmental retrofits

  • Renewables and new technology

  • Water/wastewater

This position is based out of Lenexa, KS

Responsibilities

The Document Controls Coordinator position is primarily responsible for processing and managing internal and external distribution of engineering supplier documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows, preparing transmittals for document distribution as directed. Other duties include updating and maintaining engineering document management systems; updating and maintaining various distribution matrices and document trackers for engineering records; and following processes and standards to ensure adherences to project requirements. 

Qualifications

Required Experience 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to 
    • identify and utilize the correct tools, systems and techniques to index, files, and manage engineering documents 
    • remain flexible when dealing with changing requirements 
    • multi-task and work proactively to resolve issues 
    • work independently
  • Effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment 

Preferred Experience 

  • Associates degree with a concentration in information management, information technology, data management, or computer information systems 
  • Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, or Smartsheet
  • EDMS such as InEight Document, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Documentum

Other Requirements:

  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
