Position Overview

Kiewit Commissioning Group is a full-service commissioning department serving oil, gas, and chemical markets. Our staff of commissioning professionals has the expertise that serves the LNG, midstream, refining, windfarm, offshore platforms, and petrochemical markets. Backed by 130 years of construction experience, our CSU construction-driven engineering focuses on constructability, commissioning, and startup in the earliest phases of projects to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery. 

This position will be directly responsible for the following items:
•    Development of Training Plan to meet contractual requirements
•    Development of Staffing plan for Training Team
•    Development of Training Schedules
•    Process Systems Training Material
•    Development of Training Materials to meet contractual requirements
•    Management of Training Staff Personnel
•    Work directly with Client to develop an agreement on the Training Program and Processes

Reporting to the CSU Manager during project assignments and to the CSU Director when not assigned to a project, the Training Manager is responsible for leading the Training Team in the development and implementation of training activities to maximize knowledge transfer during classroom training events. This position sets the foundation of expectations of the Training Program to meet both Client requirements and Kiewit standards. The position is responsible to create a professional and safe atmosphere for students to develop system knowledge.

This position will be based out of our Energy Corridor office in Houston, TX. Responsibilities

•    Development of Training Plan, Training Requirements Matrix, Training Schedule, Training Material Development Schedule, Staffing Plan, Agreed to Vendor Training List as agreed upon by Client and Kiewit management, and meet contractual requirements.
•    Development of Template of Training Module, Test, Lesson Plan, Process Flow Diagrams, and other materials to be used in the classroom training for Client approval.
•    Communicate with Kiewit Management on issues of concerns within the Training Program and Client's request.
•    Work closely with the Client to come to an agreement on the level of training, who will receive training, and the training method that will be utilized.
•    Ensure Staff employees can develop and implementing the Training Program to complete the project.
•    Manage Staff to successfully implement the Training Program.
•    Provide Technical Review of all Training Materials used in the Training Program.
•    Provide Coaching and workshops to ensure Instructors are capable to facilitate classroom training activities.
•    Provide workshops to ensure Instructors are knowledgeable in process systems before leading a class.
•    Ensure Lesson Plans are developed and followed to provide maximum engagement between Instructor/Facilitator and Students.
•    Oversee development of Multiple-Choice Test based on information contained in the Training Modules that will be used to measure knowledge gained from the training events.
•    Oversee the recording and reporting out of Training Plan Attendance and Competencies.

Qualifications

•    Experienced in Implementation and Management of Operator and Maintenance Training Programs.
•    Experienced in EPC Training Program Implementation.
•    Experienced in managing teams for successful application of programs and plans.
•    Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
•    Operating background in Petrochemical and LNG facility.
•    Excellent written skills in developing structured Training Materials.
•    Prior experience in teaching classroom subjects is required.
•    The teaching of Process Systems in a classroom environment is a plus.
•    Good verbal and facilitation skills in leading classroom training activities
•    Able to concentrate on multiple problems/tasks at once.
•    Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
•    Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
•    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
•    Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with operations personnel.
