As a Business Administrative Assistant you will support the business on critical tasks such as payroll, accounts payable, human capital management, and compliance. This position will become skilled in executing processes and utilizing tools related to different types of human capital management, payroll, and accounts payable.

District Overview
Kiewit's Southeast District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include building bridges, airports, mass transit systems, canals, dams, pump stations or tunnels. Although most of our work is regionally based in the southeast region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the east coast. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.
Location
This position will be based out of Wilmington, Delaware
Responsibilities
Provide support to the Business Manager and entire job team at their direction, to support their jobs. Tasks will include supporting:
- Provide administrative support and assist with projects or back-up support to the team
- Office supplies ordering and general office management
- The weekly payroll process, including adjusting time and ensuring correct time entry
- HR process workflow, and the systems used to properly hire, transfer, terminate, and pay all employees
- Weekly labor productivity reports and other reports used by the project teams
- Accounts payable, including interaction with Kiewit Business Services to ensure timely payment
Qualifications
- 0 - 5 years of business experience
- High School Diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree in business field preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions is preferred.
- Effective communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced office environment; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively; regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen; occasionally lift and move up objects up to 30 pounds.
