Position Overview

As a Billings Analyst, you will collaborate with internal partners to complete contract, intercompany, external miscellaneous revenue, and T&M billings using Kiewit’s SAP systems.  You will also be responsible for providing accurate and timely billings and support based on the requests submitted by our customers. We are looking for someone to add to our internal talent pipeline, who wants to start in this role, but then learn and grow into other roles within KBS in the future. Someone with strong critical thinking and customer service skills with strong task- and people-orientation

District Overview

Kiewit Business Services (KBS) is a cross-functional shared service organization that provides the business units with customer-specific services focused on cost and business value.   Our services include non-core, yet essential, functions of our businesses including accounts payable, accounts receivable, change control, human capital management, payroll, project initiation, compliance and continuous improvement.

Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 

Responsibilities

-    Create billings accurately and timely based on information provided by customers
-    Understand all aspects of billings, including the various types and their impact on operational and financial reporting
-    Subject Matter Expert for Resource Related Billings (RRB); ability to train team members and operational counterparts on RRB processes
-    Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers; understand Kiewit’s core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business critical issues
-    Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement; collaborate with internal and external partners to increase efficiencies and achieve service excellence
-    Proactively problem solve and assist customers in researching and resolving issues and concerns while meeting or exceeding customer expectations
-    Follow processes, procedures and internal controls
-    Reliable and consistent attendance
-    Perform other work related tasks as needed or assigned

Qualifications

-    College Degree in Business or related field 
-    Proficient in Microsoft Office
-    Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done
-    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to use logic and reasoning to identify and assess the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
-    Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data and recognize discrepancies 
-    Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company
-    Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision in a high volume environment 
-    Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work
-    Excellent customer service and collaboration skills; ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization 
-    Open to change and new information; able to rapidly adapt to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles; demonstrates flexibility in thought and action
-    Ability to develop and document process flows for team training purposes 
-    Demonstrates professional behavior and a positive attitude
-    Ability to travel as needed (less than 5%)
-    Prior SAP experience  preferred
-    Professional work experience preferred
-    Previous exposure to contract, internal, external miscellaneous revenue, and T&M billing processes preferred
-    Lifting, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, etc. 
-    Reading from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources.
