Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for offshore drilling jackets and decks.  The employee is expected to climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height and also work in confined spaces.  The employee must work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma, or general education development (GED) diploma and 3 – 5 years fitter related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.   Persons holding this position must submit and pass a burning and blue print reading test.  Persons holding this position must have the ability to perform basic structural fitting functions and processes such as reading blue prints and drawings, perform structural layouts, build steel structures to specified tolerances, and use a cutting torch and other industry tools and equipment.
