Our team is looking for an experienced construction superintendent to supervise craft employees ensure projects are safely completed on time. As a Yard Superintendent, you will play a key role in the success of Weeks Marine. Location

This position is located at our Greenville Yard in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities

•    Supervise the crew(s) and craft workers in the application of all projects. 
•    Managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence.   
•    Collaborate with engineers, Job teams, etc. to determine project needs. 
•    Utilize equipment, material, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs in assigned responsibility. 
•    Set performance goals and deadlines.
•    Coordinate and interface effectively with superintendents and Foreman to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence. 
•    Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.    
•    Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
•    Keep track of material stock and orders.
•    Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company’s non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies.    
•    Perform additional ad hoc assignments per managements direction.

Qualifications

•    10+ years’ experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. 
•    Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents.
•    Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
•    General computer skills required, Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Exel).
•    Organizational and time-management skills.
•    Experience with cranes is preferred.
•    Must have ability to manage and inspire others.
•    High School Diploma/GED required.
    
Required Certifications or Licenses :
•    Driver’s License
Physical Requirements: 
•    Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted
•    Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat and lift for long periods of time 
•    Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work from platforms
•    Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind; and must be able to work for periods of up to 12 hours a day

•    May work at various different locations and conditions may vary

Base Compensation: $99,995.00 - $124,494.00

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
