Position Overview
Weeks Marine is seeking a dynamic and strategic Market Expansion Lead to spearhead efforts in identifying and securing marine construction opportunities across a variety of project delivery methods. This role will also champion Weeks Marine’s full-scope Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) capabilities to project owners and partner firms seeking construction-only or turnkey EPC services.

Location
This position is based out of Houston, TX location.
Regional travel will be required.
Responsibilities

Strategic Development & Execution
- Collaborate with the Get Work Area Manager to develop targeted business development strategies.
- Prepare and implement short- and long-term business development plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Present strategic plans to business line managers and senior leadership for approval and execution.

Market Engagement & Opportunity Identification
- Promote Weeks Marine’s capabilities across Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, CGC, and Design-Build delivery methods.
- Identify optimal project types for Weeks Marine in the Gulf region and present those capabilities to potential clients.

Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key decision-makers.
- Develop and prioritize customer lists and outreach strategies.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade organization functions.

Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with “Get Work” teams and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and exposure.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on business opportunities, customer activities, and market trends.
- Analyze strategic clients and opportunities, offering feedback to internal teams.

Market Intelligence & Leadership
- Monitor and report on competitive strategies, technical developments, and market dynamics.
- Maintain a leadership presence in the marine construction marketplace.

Qualifications
- Experience: 5–10+ years in the marine infrastructure construction marketplace, with a strong emphasis on Houston and Louisiana Ports.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Procore, and other relevant platforms.
- Strategic Agility: Ability to rapidly develop and execute market positioning strategies and tactical plans.
- Sales Success: Proven, verifiable track record of leading successful sales pursuits in the merit shop labor arena (GC, EPC, etc.).
- Personal Attributes:
- High energy, well-organized, and a perceptive self-starter.
- Innovative thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Professional demeanor that fosters trust and credibility.
- Communication Skills: Strong client interviewing skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Base Compensation: $182,000/yr - $191,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
