Position Overview
The Designer develops drawings for constructing new equipment or implementing changes to existing equipment.

Location
This position can be based out of our Dredging Divisional Office in Covington, Louisiana or our offices in Houma, LA.
Responsibilities
● Creation of detailed drawings
● Documentation and record keeping
● Obtaining bids for fabrication of equipment
● Compiling and awarding bid packages for fabrication of equipment
● Ensuring drawings meet Marine standards and regulatory compliance
● May require infrequent travel
Qualifications
● 3+ years of related experience preferred
● Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline preferred, associate's degree required.
● Strong proficiency with CAD software (AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS)
● Proficient skills in standard office software packages
● Possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing techniques
● Ability to work 40-hour work week, M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., additional hours as needed
● Willingness and ability to travel as needed
● This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language
Required Certifications or Licenses
● Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
● Ability to remain in seated stationary position for long periods of time
● Ability to navigate around office to use equipment as needed
● Light lifting (up to 20 lbs.) as needed
