Position Overview
The Site Logistics and Administration Manager in the Dredging Division has oversight of the district’s on-site administrative coordinators and serves as a liaison for training and issues between dredging projects and the Covington, LA district office. The position is based in Covington, LA.

Weeks provides a cohesive dredging services lifecycle, specializing in capital and maintenance dredging for deep or shallow draft navigation in addition to coastal restoration and protection.
Location
This position is based out of our Covington, Louisiana office.
Responsibilities
• Direct team of 10+ rotational on-site administration staff.
• Work with project managers to coordinate staffing to ensure coverage on active projects.
• Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of administration staff to ensure the same level of support provided to projects.
• Involved in the planning process for functional performance and monitors functional strategies of the administration group.
• The ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and the ability to communicate and train new processes.
• Understanding of human resources, payroll, and crew coordination functions
• Ability to prioritize and escalate issues for process improvements.
• Problem solves issues of the team and work with other departments to create synergies.
• Oversight of yearly updates to the administration staff, including new onboarding paperwork, tax forms, transfer processes, or other changes
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor within the office environment.
Qualifications
• Previous managerial experience in construction or administration
• Proficient computer skills in standard office software packages, Microsoft Excel
• Located in Covington, LA with ability to travel up to 50%.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Required Certifications or Licenses
• Driver’s license (must be able to submit a clean driving record). A company vehicle may be utilized on assignment.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to remain in seated stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Ability to board a dredging vessel and climb vertical ladders.
• Ability to navigate around office to use equipment as needed.
