Position Overview
The Field Engineer 1 supervises and ensures surveying, procurement assistance and production for dredging operations, are completed as per project specifications.

This position will be located in Covington, LA
Responsibilities
● Analyze collected data to monitor production and modify as necessary to achieve maximum production
● Provide training and oversight of Field Engineers 2 & 3
● Provide dredge with accurate surveys and vessel positioning to ensure accurate production measurements and correct location of channel, as per contract
● Provide hydrographic surveys required for project monitoring and payment quantities
● Responsible for the care of and timely shipments of repair of all hydro survey equipment
● Maintain accurate documentation of survey activities
● Coordinate survey activities with the Project Engineer to meet schedule requirements
● Provide daily support of dredge procurement requirements
● Assist in the generation of daily reports and assembly and maintenance of proper job records
● Provide support in the maintenance of vehicle and equipment assigned to project
● Ensures compliance of company policies

Qualifications
● 3+ years of technical engineer/land surveying experience preferred with ideally 6+ months dredging production monitoring and analyzing experience
● Thorough knowledge and ability to use all surveying equipment and techniques
● Ability to accurately read contract drawings
● Ability to conduct earthwork volume computations
● Proficient skills in standard office software packages
● Supervisory experience preferred
● Ability to work 84-hour work week. 19 days on, 9 days off, revised as necessary
● Ability to live aboard vessel for full rotation
● Willingness and ability to travel required
● This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language
