Position Overview
The Contract Manager supports construction operations teams by overseeing and administering contracts in alignment with project execution needs, internal policies and applicable laws. This role partners closely with Project Managers, and Operations Leadership to ensure contracts are negotiated, managed, and administered in a way that enables efficient execution, risk management, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Dredging is vital to maintain our waterways, which keep our way of life moving, and to fortify our infrastructure and coastlines. Weeks provides a cohesive dredging services lifecycle, specializing in capital and maintenance dredging for deep or shallow draft navigation in addition to coastal restoration and protection.
Location
This position will be based out of our office in Covington, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
• Support construction operations teams by participating in contract negotiations and providing guidance on contractual risks, obligations, and commercial strategy.
• Manage contract administration activities for assigned construction projects, ensuring contractual requirements align with operational execution and project schedules.
• Coordinate with project leadership and field teams to track contract status, changes, and compliance across multiple projects.
• Review, prepare, and approve contract documents, change orders, and amendments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency with company standards.
• Participate in project planning, progress, and coordination meetings to proactively address contractual and commercial impacts to construction operations.
• Provide leadership and direction to Contract Administrators and Associate Contract Administrators, ensuring timely support to project and field teams.
• Coordinate and negotiate Master Service Agreements with Vendors.
• Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, templates, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to interpret contract language and translate requirements into practical guidance for construction operations teams.
• Proficiency with company tools such as SAP, InEight, GEP, P2P, SharePoint, and other contract management systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across operations, project management, legal, and commercial teams.
• Organizational and problem solving skills to manage competing priorities in a fast paced construction environment.
• Leadership capability to mentor and develop contract administration staff in support of project execution.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, law, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ Years of experience in contract administration, or coordination within construction or federal contracting.
• Familiarity with construction workflows, project controls, and field operations.
• Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects and operations teams simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
