Position Overview

Generate contract billings for construction & installation work performed (large contracts). In addition, make the necessary collection calls (via phone calls, emails, or letters) to ensure the company is paid in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and relevant recordkeeping which involves using computers, calculators, and other office equipment. The position requires effective communication with internal and external customers, both verbal and written, and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment.

This position is based in the Phoenix suburb of Deer Valley, AZ. 


•     Regular, reliable attendance in the office Monday-Friday.
Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.  
•     Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.  
•     Perform bookkeeping work (accounts receivable), including posting data, filing construction liens, or keeping other records concerning costs of goods or services or the shipment of goods.  
•     Operate office equipment, such as computer and adding machine.  
•     Answer mail or telephone inquiries regarding invoices.  
•     Resolve discrepancies in accounting records.  
•     Type billing documents, or credit forms, using computer.  
•     Contact customers by phone, email, or mail to obtain or relay account information.  
•     Review documents such as work orders, construction liens, or contracts to compute fees or charges due.  
•     Keep records of invoices and support documents.  
•     Consult sources such as rate books, manuals, company representatives, or internet to determine specific charges or information such as regulations, contract specifications, or government tax information.  
•     Compile reports of cost factors, such as labor, production, storage, or equipment.


Education:    High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required 

Experience:    5 plus years of experience in contract billing 

Computer Skills:    High level of aptitude with Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Outlook. Aptitude with Spectrum construction software preferred.
